Yarn count:
Yarn count is the physical thickness, coarseness or fineness of yarn which can be measured too defined equally fine increasing inwards size to thick or form.

As the number increment, the physical size of the yarn gets thicker. Fine or thin yarns will accept a lower count than coarse, thick yarns. This organization is more often than not used for synthetic fiber, jute, silk etc.

In the denier organisation, the weight unit of measurement is the gram and the unit of measurement of length is 9000 meters. The denier of a yarn is the weight inward grams of 9000 meters.

Tex arrangement of yarn numbering (directly system):

This is a directly system of mensuration. It is used to measure out both filament too spun yarn of silk, regenerated cellulosic fiber and homo-made fibers. As the numbers increment, the physical size of the yarn gets thicker. The tex system using fixed weights, states the weight of 1000m of a given yarn.

English language cotton wool count:
It is the number of hank of 840 yards inwards ane pound yarn e.g. in English language cotton fiber count organisation twoscore” or xl ne as it is expressed means 1 pound yarn contains xl numbers of hanks, each of 840 yards length.

Tex:
Weight inward gms per K meter or i km of yarn e.g. if yard meter of a yarn weight 25 gm and so the yarn count is 25 denier.

Denier:
Weight inwards gms per 9000 meter of yarn, e.g. if 9000 meter of a yarn weight 225 gm. them the yarn count is 225 denier.

Metric arrangement:
It is the number of hanks of M meter in 1 kg. of yarn. eg. If inwards i kg, of yarn there are twoscore hanks each of one thousand meter length, and so the count of the yarn is forty Nm.

Jute count organization:
Weight inward pound per xiv,000 yards (spindle) of yarn e.g. if fourteen,400 yards of a jute yarn weight five pound, and so the count is five pound/ spindle.

Worsted arrangement:

Number of hanks of 560 yards in i pound.

Conversion of yarn count from i system to another:
i. English cotton count to Tex & vice versa.

English cotton count x Tex = 590.five
